Engineers often move into assignments such as Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, Project Quality Leader, etc. as they progress on their career path. While the typical engineer may understand portions of the quality management system in their organization, they may not have had the opportunity to learn many of the simple tools for quality and quality improvement. While engineers often use many complex process modeling and improvement tools, these simple tools may have been overlooked. Learning to use these tools can enhance your value to the organization. Leading or managing the quality team in an organization involves understanding the characteristics and requirements for quality management systems. Using simple tools for understanding complex issues and for converting volumes of data into useful information is essential in today’s fast paced world of business. 7 Simple Tools for Quality provides engineers and managers with the tools necessary for quality improvement and troubleshooting.
