Full course description

Welcome to Railroad Infrastructure & Mobility: Freight & Passenger! The freight and passenger services provided by North American railroads affect each resident nearly every day. The safe and efficient movement of people and goods requires a precise orchestration of contributing elements across diverse and distributed networks. The Railroad Infrastructure & Mobility: Freight & Passenger Course provides an insight and understanding of the interplay between facilities, infrastructure, operations and engineering necessary to achieve those scheduled movements. Individual elements are first identified and then brought together as one mode of transportation. A brief regulatory overview and introduction to the professional organizations shaping the railroad industry are also covered in the course.
