Full course description
The course is covers four basic topics: basic design concepts and factors to consider in design, horizontal alignment, superelevation, and vertical alignment. Concepts of highway classification, selection of key design parameters, establishment of the roadway alignment, and development of superelevation are addressed.
This course should be of interest to city and county engineers, consulting transportation engineers, land use and transportation planners, and other professionals whose role includes planning, designing, and operating the surface transportation infrastructure.
