Pervious Concrete is rapidly becoming a popular sustainable construction product. When designed and installed properly, it is a proven effective means of mitigating the negative environmental effects of stormwater runoff. This course reviews history, uses and benefits of pervious concrete paving through interviews with experienced and knowledgeable experts, including an owner, material supplier, constructor, and biosystems engineer. Images and video footage of the installation of a pervious concrete parking slab is featured. Advice on design and installation of pervious concrete from the experts is included.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
