Full course description
Welcome to Electric Motors and Generators - Part 1 - Fundamentals! Mechanics, Magnetics and Thermodynamics addresses issues essential to understanding the operation of electromagnetic machines (motors and generators). The course is designed for those who are concerned with the application, operation, and control of motors and generators, including: plant engineers and technicians utility and consulting engineers manufacturers and sales representatives.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the fundamental principles of mechanics, magnetics, and thermodynamics as they relate to the operation of electric motors and generators.
- Analyze the key components and functions of electromagnetic machines.
- Apply knowledge of mechanics, magnetics, and thermodynamics to the practical application, operation, and control of motors and generators.
- Evaluate the performance and efficiency of electric motors and generators in various industrial settings.
