V05L_25- General Lighting Design - Part 1: Fundamentals of Indoor Calculations

This course will explore the fundamentals of light and human vision. Lighting calculations by the point source and lumen methods. It is strongly recommended that both parts be taken consecutively.

The course should be beneficial to Architects, Consulting Engineers, Plant Engineers, Technicians, Sales and Manufacturers Representatives, Contractors, and others who are concerned with the design, installation, operation, and/or maintenance of illumination systems.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Explain the fundamental principles of light and human vision.
2. Apply the point source and lumen methods to perform lighting calculations.
3. Analyze different lighting design scenarios to determine the most effective solutions. 
4. Create comprehensive lighting design plans that meet specific project requirements.
